Are you one of the millions of people who take good care of their teeth – brushing after meals, staying diligent about flossing, seeing your dentist for checkups and cleanings – but still seem to have never-ending dental problems?
We get it. We will never judge you if you need fillings, root canals, or even extractions. In fact, we feel it is our job to make you feel extra comfortable and special throughout every step of your care. No matter what shape your teeth are in, we want you to have a beautiful smile.
We understand that there are lots of factors that contribute to oral health problems including genetics, illnesses and their treatments, dry mouth, and medications. Of course diet and tobacco use have an impact – so we try to educate our patients on risk factors to minimize the continuation of problems. We also look at your mouth as a whole to solve problems from the bottom up for more effective, longer-lasting restorative treatment.
If your teeth are damaged, cracked or worn down, we would like to show you what dental restoration options are available. They are designed to help return your smile to health, eliminate pain, and improve function. Our long-lasting tooth restorations such as composite fillings, crowns, and root canals work well to bring back the beauty and strength of your teeth. And if you need a tooth replaced, ask us about our comfortable cosmetic crowns and bridges, full and partial dentures, and implants.
Dr. Brown is the Fayetteville restorative dentist you can count on to keep you feeling happy, whole, and shining with health – for a lifetime!
No one wants to hear that they have a cavity – not kids and certainly not adults! But don’t worry, if you bring your cavity to Smiles by Design, you can be sure that you and your cavity will be well taken care of. We make sure you are completely comfortable and then repair your tooth with amalgam-free, tooth-colored composite material. These fillings blend in to your tooth so no one can see them. Plus, they do not expand and contract with temperature changes for a more secure restoration. Even kids love that they don’t have ugly, rough fillings showing in their smiles. And your cavity? We take care of it by eradicating it. You’ll smile as if those cavity bugs never visited you at all!
If you have a badly damaged tooth or a missing tooth or two, our crowns and bridges are the perfect solutions. Crowns cover and rebuild a broken or worn down tooth for both strength and beauty. They also work as anchors for a bridge, holding a false tooth securely between them. It’s a tooth replacement you can count on! And because we care so much about both your health and your appearance, our crowns and bridges are carefully custom designed just for you and created in the finest labs. We don’t compromise when it comes to your smile!
If you are missing only some of your teeth, don’t need a full denture, or are not a candidate for implants, our partials are a great solution to get you back to smiling again. Very similar in function to dentures, partials fill the gaps where you are missing teeth with false teeth. But just because they are called false teeth doesn’t mean they have to look that way. We custom design every dental restoration so you feel and look like the beautiful person you were meant to be – yourself!
Just like our partial dentures, our full dentures are custom designed and created to help you feel like yourself again – sometimes even better! Many of our patients who have struggled with bad teeth and chronic oral-health problems find our dentures so beautiful, they would never go back. Dentures are an affordable option to dental implants, but we also offer implant-retained dentures for amazing full-mouth tooth replacements that never, ever feel like false teeth. Ask us about our denture options for tooth replacement today. Your smile will thank you!
Implants let you live as if you never lost a single tooth! Read more.
Some people use the words “root canal” interchangeably with pain and misery. We would like to set that misconception straight. Root canal treatments actually stop the pain and save your tooth, not the other way around. So what exactly is a root canal? A root canal gets its name from the part of the tooth being treated. When a tooth becomes infected and filled with dangerous bacteria, it is the inside of the tooth – where the nerves and root canals are located – that is most affected. During a root canal, we enter the tooth, clear the infected and inflamed tissue out of those root canals, fill them with a protective sealant, and top it all off with a strong and beautiful crown. Your pain ends, your tooth is saved, and your smile looks beautiful!
Like discovering you have a cavity, being told you need oral surgery is never welcome news. But when you rely on the compassionate team and skillful hands of Dr. J. Rena Owsley-Brown at Smiles by Design, you can at least know that you are going to be very well taken care of. To prove it, Dr. Brown will not perform any surgery she doesn’t feel absolutely qualified to complete, such as boney impactions or wisdom tooth extractions. When that is the case, we will refer you to one of our trusted oral and maxillofacial surgeons for co-treatment. We will, of course, follow your progress every step of the way and bring your smile back home to us once your surgery is complete.
