Do you find yourself talking, smiling, or laughing with your hand over your mouth? Have people asked you what is wrong, simply because you find it difficult to smile? If you are living life without a smile, you are really only living half a life. Smiling is not only nice for the people around you and a way to communicate your happiness, it is also good for your health! Smiling reduces stress (and we all know that stress can be a killer), boosts your immune system, lowers your blood pressure, and can even act as a natural painkiller. Plus, it just makes you feel great because it releases dopamine – in you and the people around you! What could be better? Release your smile with the help of our cosmetic dentistry, and discover a richer, fuller life!
When you come to see us about aesthetic dental care, don’t expect it to be only about glitz and glamour (though many of our patients do feel pretty glamorous after treatments). Our priority is to help you shine from the inside out. That means that we start by getting you healthy, and finding out what you need to keep your smile strong for the long term. All the dentistry we perform is cosmetically designed so that your smile looks great no matter what you need. But if you do have concerns about the aesthetics of your smile, we can certainly help with anything from tooth whitening and clear braces to porcelain veneers and complete smile makeovers. We will have your smile glowing in no time!
Porcelain veneers are our premier performer when it comes to perfecting your smile. These gorgeous porcelain shells are bonded over the front of your teeth to repair broken or cracked teeth, lengthen short teeth, cover deep stains, and generally give you the appearance of having perfectly beautiful teeth. We customize and shade each veneer to meet your exact specifications. Our patients leave our office feeling confident and renewed! Ask us about dental veneers at your next visit.
Composite dental bonding is a fast and easy technique to perfect your smile. It does take an artistic eye to make dental bonding lifelike and natural looking – and Dr. Brown has that in spades! Done right here in our office, bonding material is carefully shaded and applied directly to your teeth by Dr. Brown. She then sculpts the material to lengthen, strengthen, or whiten your teeth. No one will be able to tell which teeth have been bonded and which are your own, natural enamel! Keep in mind that bonding material is not as stain resistant or long lasting as porcelain generally, so be careful with the coffee and red wine!
Is your smile a little uneven? We have a simple and comfortable procedure to correct it – tooth recontouring! Recontouring and reshaping your teeth is a little like sculpting, so again, it takes an artist’s eye to get it right. Dr. Brown will use a special sculpting tool to treat the uneven edges of your smile and make it smooth. Our patients are amazed that something so easy can make such a dramatic difference in their appearance!
Smile whitening is another simple but dramatic procedure in our cosmetic arsenal. With teeth whitening, sometimes also known as tooth bleaching, we can take years of stains off your teeth in about an hour, allowing you to leave our office with a smile up to ten shades whiter than it was when you came in.
If you prefer to whiten on your own time, ask us about our custom-made whitening trays. Simply fill your tray with our professional whitening gel and whiten at bedtime or on your morning commute, and in about two weeks, your smile will be white and bright!
